This blog is my attempt to record for my kids (and those that might be interested) the "first principle" lessons I've learned in life. I define "first principle" as those truths that remain regardless of situation, environment or timing. As I'm human, I will inevitably make mistakes in assessing and capturing these. That's the first first principle. ;-)

The principles are the same as in 4hr-Chef – to loose weight forever, you have to change your relationship with food. Have to change from retrieving the comforting from the eating of the food to the prepararing of the food. Preparation and anticipation lasts much longer than consumption in any case…

Exactly the biggest challenge entrepreneurs face. The eternal battle between over confidence, required to make a success and necessary realism to stop you from taking on ventures which are doomed to fail.
Over-confidence are a human condition.
Problem Solving questions:
1. What is great about this problem?
2. What is not yet perfect?
3. What am I willing to do to make it the way I want it?
4. What am I willing to no longer do in order to make it the way I want?
5. How can I enjoy the process while I do what is necessary to make it the way I want it?
What has to happen in order for me to feel …..?
How to stay aware of yourself..? To actually realise what you are thikning, feeling and acting..? In order to be able to control your thoughts, feelings and actions…
What do I want..? is not a one-off question…
We are what we repeatedly do!
I just realised this again today – reflecting over why we are sometimes more effective than other times…
For me personally, I’m so much more effective when I’m settled in a routine to act on the benign and then have the free capacity to focus creatively on other ideas or brain storming sessions…
